Random Fact: More Monopoly Money is Printed Than Real Money

This sounds fake, right? Because, we can’t use Monopoly money in any other situation but Monopoly. BUT-it’s true: more Monopoly money is printed in a year, than real money printed throughout the world.

From USA Today:

Parker Brothers reports that it is rolling in the fictional pink, blue, and yellow dough, printing around $30 billion each year. The U.S. government generally only prints money to replace old, or worn-out bills, which results in the annual printing of roughly $974 million, according to estimates published on CNBC’s website.

Nutty, right?
